Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions about BeatNex — what it does, who it's for, pricing, distribution, DJ promo, royalty splits, and how it all works.
What does BeatNex actually do?
BeatNex is a music management platform — one connected workflow for releases, DJ promo, royalty splits, newsletters, public artist and label pages, and cross-platform analytics. It replaces the stack of disconnected tools most music operations stitch together.
Is BeatNex a music distributor?
No. BeatNex does not push music to Spotify, Apple Music, or other DSPs — distributors like DistroKid, Symphonic, FUGA, or Believe do that. BeatNex handles everything else around distribution: management, promo, royalties, analytics, public pages, and team operations.
Who is BeatNex for?
Artists managing their own careers, record labels of any size, managers running multi-artist rosters, and DJs receiving promos. Different parts of the platform serve different roles — but everyone benefits from the unified workflow.
Can I use BeatNex with my existing distributor?
Yes. BeatNex is distributor-agnostic — keep using whoever ships your music to DSPs. BeatNex sits alongside, handling everything that happens before, around, and after the distributor's role.
How does DJ promo work on BeatNex?
Build a target list by genre, location, residency, and prior engagement. Send promo packages with full-quality audio and artwork. Track downloads, plays, and structured feedback per DJ. DJs receive curated promos and leave feedback in seconds — no pay-per-reject mechanics. Read more →
Can I manage multiple artists under one account?
Yes. Label accounts manage entire rosters — each artist has their own profile, releases, splits, and analytics, while the label gets a unified view across the roster. Team members can be added with role-based access.
How are royalty splits handled?
Splits are defined per release, per track, or per artist contract. Every party on a split sees percentages in real time. Statements update as streaming numbers refresh. Full audit trail of every change. Payouts can run through Stripe directly. Read more →
What is included in the free tier?
Core features — artist profile, release management, smart links, basic analytics — work on the free tier. Paid plans unlock DJ promo, newsletters, multi-artist roster management, advanced analytics, and team features. See pricing →
How do I get support?
